3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
4 FLORIDA, ADOPTING A PROPOSED MUNICIPAL
5 MILLAGE RATE FOR GENERAL OPERATING
6 BUDGET PURPOSES FOR FISCAL YEAR 2020-2021,
7 STATING A ROLLED-BACK RATE, AND SETTING
8 FORTH THE DATE, TIME AND PLACE OF THE FIRST
9 PUBLIC HEARING; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE
10 DATE.

13 WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(2)(b) it is the responsibility of the
14 Municipality's governing body to advise the Property Appraiser of its, proposed millage rate,
15 rolled- back millage rate, and the date, time and place of the first public hearing at which the
16 proposed millage rate and tentative budget will be considered.
17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
18 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,FLORIDA,THAT:
19 Section 1. The above referenced whereas clauses are incorporated herein by
20 reference.
21 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,Florida, hereby sets
22 a proposed millage rate of 7.9000 which has been computed to fund the General Operating
23 Budget for Fiscal Year 2020-21. The rolled-back rate is 7.4911.
24 Section 3. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach,Florida,hereby sets
25 September 8, 2020 at 5:30 P.M., at Commissioner Chambers, City Hall, 100 East Ocean
26 Avenue, 33435 or by Communication Media Technology (CMT) (information to access a
27 meeting conducted by CMT will be posted on the City's website), or a combination of both, if
28 legally permissible, as the date, time and place of the first public hearing to consider the
29 proposed millage rate and the tentative budget.

30 Section 4. The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby
31 authorized to execute and submit DR-420 Certification of Taxable Value to the Palm Beach
32 County Property Appraiser's Office.
33 Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage and
34 adoption.
35 PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of July, 2020.
