R13-094 1 2 RESOLUTION R13 -094 3 4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE 5 I CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA RATIFYING THE 6 2013 -2014 ANNUAL BUDGET FOR THE BOYNTON 7 ! BEACH COMMUNITY REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY AND 8 ( . PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. 10 WHEREAS, the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment Agency was created 11 by Ordinance of the City Commission pursuant to Chapter 163, Florida Statutes. The 12 Redevelopment Agency has been designated a Florida Special District; and 13 WHEREAS, Florida Statutes 189.418 provides that the proposed budget of a 14 dependent special district, with the concurrence of the local governing authority, may be 15 budgeted separately; and 16 WHEREAS, a local governing authority may, in its discretion, review the budget or 17 tax levy of any special district located solely within its boundaries; and 18 WHEREAS, a final budget of the Boynton Beach Community Redevelopment 19 Agency has been reviewed and considered by the City Commission for the ensuing year, 20 with detailed information, and the administrative staff of the City has made 21 recommendations as to the amount necessary to be appropriated for the ensuing year. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF 23 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA THAT: 24 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as 25 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption 26 hereof. 27 Section 2.
