4 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
5 FLORIDA, APPROVING AND AUTHORIZING CITY
6 DEPARTMENTS USE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA
7 CONTRACT WITH KONICA MINOLTA UNDER
8 CONTRACT #600-000-11-1 FOR MUL TIFUNCTION
9 COPIERS, SERVICE AND SUPPLIES WHEN REPLACING
10 EXISTING EQUIPMENT; AND PROVIDING AN
11 EFFECTIVE DATE.

14 WHEREAS, in January, 2007, all City Departments entered into a three (3) year lease
15 for their copier/scanner/printers with Konica Minolta which ended January 31, 20] 0; and
16 WHEREAS, the City two (2) one-year maintenance agreements for the copiers under
17 the Florida State Contract which were approved by the City Commission on February 2, 2010;
18 and
19 WHEREAS, Konica Minolta will reclaim their equipment on February 1,2010; and
20 WHEREAS, Procurement issued a "Request for Quotation for Color
21 Copier/Printer/Scanner" RFQ 028-14] 0-11/ JMA for a 48 month lease based on the State
22 Contract No. 600-000-] 1-1 to include installation, maintenance, service and supplies; and
23 WHE~AS, on February 1 7, 2011 , Procurement opened and tabulated three quotes of
24 which Konica Minolta was approximately 40% below the second lowest quote making them
25 the lowest, most responsible, responsive bidder on the State Contract pricing; and
26 WHEREAS, staff has recommended that the City Commission approve and authorize
27 City Departments usage of the State of Florida Contract with Konica Minolta under contract
28 #600-000-11-1 for multifunction copiers, service and supplies when replacing existing
29 equipment.

1 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
2 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
3 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
4 being true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
5 hereof.
6 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, at the
7 recommendation of staff, hereby approves and authorizes City Departments usage ofthe State of
8 Florida Contract with Konica Minolta under contract #600-000-11-1 for multifunction copiers,
9 service and supplies when replacing existing equipment.
10 Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
