3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH,
4 FLORIDA, ADOPTING A FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF
5 6.4553 MILLS FOR THE CITY'S GENERAL FUND AND
6 0.0250 MILLS FOR THE CITY'S VOTED DEBT
7 SERVICE FUND FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING
8 OCTOBER 1, 2008, AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2009;
9 PROVIDING THAT THE FINAL MILLAGE RATE OF
10 6.4553 MILLS IS 7.75% PERCENT BELOW THE
11 COMPUTED ROLLED-BACK RATE ADJUSTED FOR
12 THE IMP ACT OF AMENDMENT 1; PROVIDING FOR
13 SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND AN EFFECTIVE
14 DATE.

16 WHEREAS, a Final Budget has been reviewed and considered by the City
17 Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, for the ensuing year, with detailed
18 information, including revenues to be derived from sources other than ad valorem levy, and
19 the City Manager has made recommendations as to the amount necessary to be appropriated
20 for the ensuing year; and
21 WHEREAS, the City Commission has given notice of and has conducted the public
22 hearings required by law and has considered the recommendations of staff and comments of
J~ the public, the suggested budget, and the proposed millage necessary to be levied to carry on

24 the government of the city for the ensuing year
25 NO"', THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
26 THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA:
27 Section 1. The foregoing "Whereas" clauses are hereby ratified and confirmed as
28 eing true and correct and are hereby made a specific part of this Resolution upon adoption
29 ereof.
30 Section 2. The City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida hereby
31 adopts the fInal millage rate of6.4553 for the General Fund. The final millage rate is 7.75%

I below the computed rolled-back rate adjusted for the impact of Amendment 1 and is the
2 maximum millage rate allowed by a majority vote of the governing body. The City
3 Commission also adopts the final millage rate of 0.0250 for the voted Debt Service Fund.
4 Section 3. If any clause, section or other part of this Resolution shall be held by
5 any court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional
6 or invalid part shall be considered as eliminated and shall in no way affect the validity of the
7 remaining portions of this Resolution.
8 Section 4. All resolutions or parts of resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
9 repealed to the extent of such conflict.
10 Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon passage.
