R98-/~ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CiTY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE AM AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH AND THE FLORIDA ASSOCIATION OF REHABILITATION FACILITIES, INC., (RESPECT OF FLORIDA), PROVIDING FOR JANITORIAL SERVICES TO THE EAST WATER TREATMENT PLANT AND UTILITY ADMINISTRATION BUILDING; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach is desirous of entering into. a one year agreement with RESPECT of Florida to provide janitorial services to the east water treatment plant and administration building located at 1620 E. Seacrest Blvd., and 124 E. Woolbright Road; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMHISSI'ON OF THE CTTY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT: Section 1. The Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized to execute a one year Agreement between the City of Boynton Beach, Florida and the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc., (RESPECT of Florida)which Agreement is attached hereto as Exhibit "A". CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA Hayor May~ Pro Tem /Commission, er Commissioner AGREEMENT THIS AGREEMENT, is entered into on this day of ,1998, between the City of Boynton Beach, hereinafter referred to as "the City", and the Florida Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc., RESPECT of Florida Program, hereinafter referred to as "RESPECT of F orida", in consideration of the mutual benefits, terms, and COnditions hereinafter specified. WHEREAS, the procedure for procurement of services and commodities by procuring agencies is set forth in Chapter 287, Florida Statutes; and WHEREAS, Section 60E-1.005 of the Florida Administrative Code creates within the Department of Management Services, a central not-for-profit agency designated as the Commission for Purchase from Blind or Other Severely Handicapped (hereinafter "Commission"; and - . WHEREAS, the Commission contracts with the Florida Association of ehabilitation Facilities, which operates a program under the registered service mark, ESPECT of Florida; and ' WHEREAS, Section 413.036, Florida Statutes, requires procuring agencies to procure services and commodities under the guidelines set forth in the rules and regulations of the Commission; and WHEREAS, the City of Boynton Beach is a municipal corporation organized and e~<isting under the laws of the State of Florida, and is .desirous of receiving services and or commodities under the rules and regulations of the Commission. NOW THEREFORE, be it agreed that the City and the Flodda Association of Rehabilitation Facilities, Inc., RESPECT of Florida Program, hereinafter RESPECT of Florida, do hereby enter into a contract for janitorial services under the terms and conditions set forth herein: PROJECT DESIGNATION. RESPECT of Florida is retained by the City to perform janitorial services at tne East Water Treatment Plant (inclusive of AdministratiOn Building). SCOPE OF SERVICES. RESPECT of Florida agrees to perform the services, identified on Exhibit "A" attached hereto, including the provision of all labor, materials, equipment and supplies. TIME AND TERM OF PERFORMANCE. Work under this contract shall commence upon execution of this Agreement by each party.
