A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A
PROPOSED MUNICIPAL MILLAGE RATE OF 7.6000 FOR
GENERAL OPERATING BUDGET PURPOSES FOR
FISCAL YEAR 2003-04, STATING A ROLLED-BACK
RATE OF 6.9800, AND SETTING FORTH THE DATE,
TIME AND PLACE OF THE FIRST PUBLIC HEARING;
PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND AN
EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, pursuant to Florida Statute 200.065(2)(b) it is the responsibility of the
Municipality's governing body to advise the Property Appraiser of its roll back millage rate,
~roposed millage rate and the date, time and place of the first public heating;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF
FHE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, THAT:
Section 1. Thc City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
~dopts a proposed millage rate of 7.6000 which has been computed to fund the General
3perating Budget for Fiscal Year 2003-04. Thc rolled-back rate is 6.9800.
Section 2. Thc City Commission of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, hereby
;ets September 4th, 2003 at 6:00 P.M., at Boynton Beach City Hall, 100 East Boynton Beach
~oulevard, as thc date, time and place of the first public hearing to consider the proposed
rfillagc rate and thc tentative budget.
Section 3. The City Manager of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, is hereby
~uthorizcd to execute and submit DR-420 Certification of Taxable Value to thc Palm Beach
County Property Appraiser's Office.
Section 4. If any clause, section, or other part of this Resolution shall bc held by
any Court of competent jurisdiction to be unconstitutional or invalid, such unconstitutional or
invalid part shall bc considered as eliminated and in no way affecting thc validity of the other
~rovisions of this Resolution.
Section 5. All Resolutions or parts of Resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby
· cpcalcd to the extent of such conflict.
Section 6. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its passage
