03-04-57CRES 0 LUT I ON WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, did during its regular meeting held the 18th day of February, 1957 adopt a Resolution finding it necessary for public interest, that certain streets, boulevards, avenues, lanes, alleys, parkways and other public high- ways located within the limits of the said City be improved by being built, repaired, resurfaced, and rebuilt, and did by said Resolution according to law, authorize and direct the Superintendent of Public Works to prepare an estimated cost for repair, rebuilding, resurfacing and construction of said streets as described in the said Resolution, now therefore, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY CF BOYNT~I BEACH, FLCRIDA, AS FOLLOWS: 1. That the following streets, roads, boulevards, avenues, lanes, alleys, parkways, and other public highways as hereinafter described shall be constructed and/or rebuilt to a specifications as required by the laws of the City of Boynton Beach, said property abutting the following streets and alleys: Description S. W. Eighth Avenue and S. W. Ninth Avenues from Seacrest Blvd. to S. W. Third Street S. W. First Street from S. W. Seventh Avenue to S. W. Tenth Avenue S. W. Second Street fr~n S. The City Council shall sit as a Board to hear objections from abutting property holders on March 22nd, 1957 at the hour of 1:30 P. M. , at the City Hall Building, Boynton Beach, Florida. 3. The City Clerk is hereby directed to assess each of the abutting property holders located and abutting the above described street, and to assess such property holders on a front foot basis charging said owner his proportionated share as divided by the improvement cost above estimated. The property holder shall have the privilege of paying the entire assessment at any time within ninety (90) days from date of lien, and failing to do so · the Clerk shall, for three (3) consecutive years assess the said property owner as a lien against the property, a special assessment tax divided into three (3) installments, payable as other ad valorem taxes are paid with interest at the rate of 8% per annum on the unpaid balance. 4. The Clerk shall prepare an assessment roll showing the number of feet of each lot or parcel of land fronting or abutting upon the improve- ments and the amount of assessments as to each, and each lot shall be proportionately so assessed.
