BOX 310 120 N.E. 2ND AVENUE BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA 33435 NOTICE TO THE YOUTH ASSEMBLY IN THE CIVIC CENTER PARKING AREA The following policy shall be in effect immediately and enforced by the ~oynton Beach Polic~ Department and the Recreation Department personnel. 1. Youth shall be allowed to assemble in the Parking area durimg hours when the Center is open umless: a. A violation of the law or City Ordinance occurs. b. Youth create a nuisance o~ infringement upon the rights of the other users of the Center. 2. Causes for disbanning assemblies shall include: a. Drinking of alcoholic beverages. b. Use of profanity. c. Immoral acts. d. Racing of motor vehicles. e. Suspected drug users. f. Littering g. Use of offensive language and gestures toward users of the Center. 3. Due to vandalism, thefts and littering at the Civic Center and Parking areas, assemblies shall be disbanded after closing hours of the Civic Center. 4. Smoking on the outside grounds and parking areas shall be permitted. 5. Smokin~ SHALL NOT BE PERMITTED in the Civic Center or outside the front door entrance way of the Civic Center. Charles Frederick, Recreation Director July 26, 1971 FACILITY RESERVATIONS CIVIC CENTER 1. The Recreation Department shall have first prierty of their own facilities at all times. 2. Clubs and organizations co-spemsored by the recreat- ion department shall be honored ahead ef outside clubs and organizations. 3. Public Schools requesting the use of facilities shall be honored ahead of outside groups and organiza- tions. 4. The request of other Community groups and organiza- tions shall be honored i£ remaining time is available and activities are appropriate for the facility re- quested. Preference shall be given to those requests involving activities of a recreational nature. 5. Reservations shall net be granted te organizations promoting partisan politics. 6. With the exception ef Clubs and 0rganizatiems co- sponsored by the Recreation Department reservations may net be made more than three months in advance. 7. Unique and unusual requests not covered by policy shall be referred to Council for appropriate action. FEES AND CHARGES 1. Ce-sponsored Clubs and Organizations and public schools shall reserve the facility free ef charge, unless: a. their requested hours of programming commence before er termimate after the regular opera- tional hours of the facility. b. A ten ($10.00) per hour rental fee shall be charged in such instances. 2. All ether Clubs and 0rganlzatiens requestimg and granted use of the facility shall be charged the follow- ing: a. Auditoz~ua $10.00 per hour b. Kitchen 5.00 per hour c. Meeting room 5.00 per hour Fees may be waivered only by the ~ouncil action.
