A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA,
RECOMMENDING TO THE STATE OF FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF
TRANSPORTATION THAT THE PROPOSED RAMP AT S. W. 23rd
AVENUE AND S. W. 6th STREET IN SAID CITY BE ELIMINATED
AND THAT ACCESS TO S. W. 23rd AVENUE BE CONSTRUCTED

ramp is proposed to be constructed from S. W. 23rd Avenue south-
ward to and connecting with S. W. 6th Street in said City; and
WHEREAS, said proposed ramp would require ingress onto and
egress from S. W. 23rd Avenue at or near the incline of a propose~
overpass, thereby creating a very grave and hazardous condition
for the movement of motor vehicular traffic in an already heavily
conjested area; and
WHEREASf a point of access southward from the said S. W.
23rd Avenue at a location approximately 1,000 feet eastwardly fron
the location of the presently proposed ramp would provide a more
level grade and thereby create a much less hazardous traffic
situation; and
WHEREAS, the relocation of the point of access more
eastwardly, as stated, would lessen the use of S. W. 6th Street
as a by-pass road for motor vehicle traffic, which has resulted
since the opening of S. W. 6th Street onto temporary S. W. 23rd
Avenue, causing considerable motor vehicular traffic in a
residential area, thereby creating a very hazardous situation; and

Florida, deems it essential for the public safety and welfare of
the community to move the location of the proposed point of access
onto S. W. 23rd Avenue eastwardly as hereinabove provided;
