84-KKKKRESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION OF ~tE CITY OF BOYNTON BEACH, FLORIDA, DESIGNATING THE APPROPRIATE OFFICIALS TO BE AUTHORIZED AND ~POWERED TO SIGN AND ISSUE CHECKS, ET CETERA AS OUTLINED HEREIN, FOR THE MDNICIPAL POLICE RETIREMENT FUND OF THE CITY, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE PROVISIONS OF ~ 185 OF THE FLORIDA STATUTES; PROVIDING A REPEAL CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 185, Florida Statutes, the Mayor of the City of Boynton Beach is designated as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Police Retir~nent Fund of the City of Boynton Beach; and WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 185, Florida Statutes, the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Police Retirement Fund shall elect one of its members as Secretary; and WHEREAS, it is deemed advisable by the City Council of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, to officially designate that the above described offi- cials be empowered to execute the duties and powers as set forth in said legislation. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY (IYJNCIL OF THE CITY OF BO~N BEACH, FLORIDA: Section 1. That the Chairman and Secretary, respectively, of the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Police Retirement Fund of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, and their lawfully appointed successors, be and they are hereby authorized and empowered to sign and issue checks, drafts, withdrawal vouchers or other instruments necessary to negotiate funds constituting a part of the Board of Trustees of the Municipal Police Retire~mnt Fund of said City, now on deposit in Sun Bank, First Federal Savings and Loan of the Palm Beaches, or any other authorized depository hereafter designated for the handling of such funds, and the above members of said Board are further authorized to perform any and. all other business and execute any and all instruments relative to said Fund, in accordance with their duties as more particularly established in Chapter 185, Florida Statutes. Section 2. Ail previous Resolutions of the City of Boynton Beach, Florida, pertaining to authority to sign and execute checks, vouchers, or other instruments on the afore-described Retir~aent Fund are hereby rescinded.
