Meeting Minutes <br />City Commission <br />Boynton Beach, Florida November 21, 2017 <br />Vote <br />The motion unanimously passed. <br />2. OTHER <br />A. Informational items by Members of the City Commission <br />Commissioner McCray wanted the Wildcats to have all the time they needed. <br />Mayor Grant on November 8th met with the pension consultant, attended Flood <br />Awareness workshop at the Intercostal Park Club House. November 9th attended Forest <br />Park Elementary for the new Ben Carson reading room, was able to meet with Ms. <br />Candy Carson, in addition attended South Tech Summit for the Healthier Boynton <br />Beach luncheon, and attended the City of Boynton Beach, Stop the Bleed seminar <br />regarding what to do if someone was bleeding. November 10 attended Keiser University <br />40th anniversary. November 11 was at the Veterans Park event, for Blue Star Highway <br />at the Intracoastal Park and at Hunters Run. November 15th attended the National <br />League of City in Charlotte. November 18, attended the traveling sauna and had a great <br />time. He gave the delegates from Rama Finland a tour of Troy's restaurant. He also <br />attended the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society Walk and the FAU game. On November <br />20 attended Leisureville HOA meeting to provide an update on what was happening in <br />the City. <br />Commissioner Romelus stated she was able to meet with the delegates from Rama <br />Finland, had an opportunity to showcase all the great things from the City of Boynton <br />Beach. She attended a turkey giveaway at the Hosanna Alliance Church. This was in <br />partnership with Growing Strong Ministry; they gave out more than 100 turkey baskets. <br />3. ANNOUNCEMENTS, COMMUNITY & SPECIAL EVENTS & PRESENTATIONS <br />A. City Hall will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday on Thursday, November 23 <br />and Friday, November 24, 2017. <br />Mayor Grant announced Thursday, November 23 and Friday, November 24, 2017 City <br />Hall will be close for the Thanksgiving holiday. <br />B. Announcement by Recreation & Parks Director Wally Majors about the upcoming <br />Holiday Events and the person that was chosen as the Grand Marshal for the <br />Parade. <br />Wally Majors, Recreation & Parks Director, gave a list of the upcoming events for the <br />Month of December: <br />Holiday Movie - Friday, December 1 - 7pm @129 East Ocean Avenue. <br />2 <br />
