Meeting Minutes <br />City Commission <br />Boynton Beach, Florida February 7, 2017 <br />Agenda Approval: <br />1. Additions, Deletions, Corrections <br />Mayor Grant requested hearing New Business items 12 B and 12 C after Item 3, <br />Announcements. Vice Mayor McCray requested moving Item 12 A as well and hearing <br />Administrative item 5 C before Item 4, Public Audience. <br />2. Adoption <br />Motion <br />Vice Mayor McCray moved to approve as amended. Commissioner Casello seconded <br />the motion. <br />Vote <br />The motion unanimously passed. <br />2. OTHER <br />A. Informational items by Members of the City Commission <br />Vice Mayor McCray advised he received an email from Ms. Oyer saying former Mayor <br />Gene Moore had passed. He corrected the record that Mr. Moore had not passed. He <br />visited the Marina project unannounced and praised staff on a job well done. He also <br />attended the Kinetic Art Event and met a New York artist who never heard of Boynton <br />Beach until he came to the event. The artist praised Ms. Coles-Dobay and Vice Mayor <br />McCray praised her as well. He attended the Four Chaplains on Sunday and the 5th <br />Annual Deshi Winter Festival at Boynton Beach High School which impressed him. He <br />enjoyed the festivities and music and noted about 12 individuals spoke English. He had <br />a fantastic time and recommended taking in shows of different cultures as it is enriching. <br />Vice Mayor McCray attended the swearing in of new police officers. <br />Commissioner Romelus announced she was appointed to the Tourist Development <br />Council by County Commissioner Mary Lou Berger. The Commission congratulated <br />her. <br />Commissioner Casello attended the Greater Boynton Beach Gala and Business <br />Awards, the swearing in of eight new Police Officers and an awards ceremony at Village <br />Royale. He attended the monthly Coalition of Boynton West Residential Association. <br />He worked with State Representative Lori Berman on the Farm Share free food <br />distribution held next to St. John Missionary Baptist Church and advised they served <br />over 300 families. He thanked all the volunteers as it was a great success. He attended <br />the Kinetic Art Symposium Opening night and met some of the artists. He thought some <br />K <br />
